MEET THE 2025 SPRINGLAKE PIRANHAS COACHING STAFF
Coach Mike
Head Coach: Mike Raley

Coach Mike is a full-time special education teacher and has been a coach for over 25 years!  A former swimmer himself, he has been coaching since his teenage years and has coached at various teams including North Baltimore Aquatic Club (NBAC) and Greater Baltimore Aquatic Club (GBAC).  He has also taught swim lessons for over 2 decades for all ages and abilities.  His passion for swimming and coaching is obvious when you see him in action.  He's the father of two Piranhas, Maya and Kendall, and also manages the pool - so be sure to say hi when you see him next!
Lucas
Senior Assistant Coach: Lucas Correal

Lucas has been a member of the Springlake Swim Club since he can remember and a Piranha swimmer from a young age through high school.  This is his 5th year of coaching with Springlake.  Lucas loves coaching because he gets to interact with the kids and help them improve their skills. He is very enthusiastic, social, and loves sports!  He is entering his senior year at Beacon College in Leesburg, FL, majoring in Hospitality.

Assistant Coach: Aleena Correal

Aleena was on the Springlake Swim Team for 10 years and is returning for her second year as a coach. She graduated from Notre Dame Prep (NDP) where she was on their swim team and was a captain her senior year. She just finished her freshman year at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY where she plans on majoring in psychology, hoping to become an elementary school teacher. Aleena swam for different club teams growing up including Merritt Athletic Swimming and North Baltimore Aquatic Club (NBAC). She loves coaching because she loves kids and working with them to improve their swimming. In her free time, Aleena loves to hang out with her friends, spend time at the pool, and play guitar.  You will also see Aleena working as a lifeguard at Springlake this summer.

Assistant Coach: Ethan McKenna

Ethan has been a Piranha since he was 5 years old, first as a swimmer and now in his second year as a coach. He graduated from Loyola Blakefield High School where he was also a member of their swim team. He attends Fordham University and is majoring in Economics.  In addition to coaching, Ethan is also a lifeguard at Springlake.  In his free time, Ethan love hanging out with his friends, eating food, and watching the Orioles and Ravens.
